Founded in 1999, CARLOS OLIVEIRA SOCCER ACADEMY (COSA) is the leading soccer organization dedicated to the support and development of youth soccer in New York City. Directed by its founder, Carlos Oliveira, a master coach, trainer and former professional soccer player in Brazil and Europe, the soccer academy utilizes highly trained soccer coaches from Brazil, Latin America and the US who work with children at their developmental level. COSA’s programs have grown from a summer camp in Riverside Park to be a year-around program operating both indoors and outdoors on the Upper West Side and Lower East Side, serving several thousand kids from ages 3 to 18 each year.
